From Mas village, the journey continues to the Besakih temple. Besakih temple rises majestically on the western slopes of Mount Agung, which is referred to as the Mother Temple of Hindu Bali, covering a vast area that offers breathtaking mountain scenery surrounding this beautiful and artistic temple complex. Facing Mt. Agung’s highest peak, believed to be the abode of the gods, and located at an altitude of 900 meters, Pura Besakih is built in the village of Besakih, in the eastern part of Bali. The name Besakih comes from the word “Basuki”, derived from the word “Basuki” which means Salvation in the classical Sanskrit language. Whereas, in the Samudramanthana mythology, the same name “Besuki” in fact refers to the Dragon-God “Naga Besukian”, who inhabited Gunung Agung, the main volcano in Bali.
After the Besakih temple, the journey continues to Kintamani where you will enjoy lunch next to an active volcano with a spectacular lake view, before visiting a magnificent rice terrace in Tegalalang and taste a coffee Luwak from a Balinese coffee plantation on the way back to your hotel.
In Tegalalang you will have a chance to capture the photos of a lifetime on the Bali Swing. As you soar high above jungle, rice fields, and river. Tegalalang Rice Terrace Swing, which hangs between two palm trees, is located in the village of Tegalalang, north of Ubud, Gianyar, Bali. It overlooks a picturesque landscape of stepped, rice-paddy terraces and unsurprisingly it’s a tourist hotspot.
